Canadian instrument maker Craig Tomlinson built this single-manual Italian harpsichord in 2015. Tomlinson based this instrument on a model by Aelpidio Gregori that is housed in the University of Edinburgh’s Russell Collection and was constructed in either 1726 or 1736.
Tomlinson has been making instruments since he was thirteen, counting customers in various orchestras, universities, and individuals around the globe. He has worked with harpsichord makers Edward R. Turner and California-based John Phillips and in 1984 established his own workshop in West Vancouver.
