EMV’s Education & Outreach Programmes

EMV’s education and outreach programmes have changed over the years, but the value we place on the importance of music education has not. EMV is committed to engaging with the greater Vancouver community through outreach programmes like our performance/lecture series with Douglas and Green Colleges. Our Baroque Orchestra Mentorship Programme at UBC is now in its third year. This programme has been a tremendous success, seeing a major expansion in the Fall of 2017 with the addition of the Wind Programme. Through the generosity of Bryan and Gail Atkins, EMV also launched a scholarship programme for BC-based musicians who wish to study period instruments. Gifts toward EMV’s Education & Outreach Programmes help develop BC-based period musicians, as well as educate the wider community about music in an historical context.
