Kathleen Bourchier, Accredited Business Communicator (ABC), is a career corporate communicator who, for 26 years, led communications and sustainability initiatives for the former Alcan (now Rio Tinto) in Kitimat, Montreal, and Vancouver. She is the architect of the $60,000 Alcan Performing Arts Award in collaboration with the Cultch in B.C. and the US $1-million Alcan Prize for Sustainability which awarded international NGOs for their contributions to a better world. She went on to become Vice President and General Manager of Cossette Communications’ public relations arm, and is now an independent consultant. Kathleen has served on the Boards of the H.R. McMillan Space Centre, the Vancouver Maritime Museum, the Vancouver International Children’s Festival, and chaired the Cultch Board when it embarked on ambitious renovations.
