Conductor and pianist/harpsichordist, Alexander Weimann and renowned Jazz Musician, Al Matheson, join Matthew White for The Path to Performance – an open rehearsal and discussion about an exciting co-production in development between the VIM House and Early Music Vancouver, in partnership with Coastal Jazz, Pacific Baroque Orchestra, and the Al Matheson Septet, planned for June 2016.
Founded in 2009, Culture Days is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a national network of cultural connections devoted to providing Canadians with opportunities to participate in and appreciate all forms of arts and culture. Through an annual three-day national celebration each September, hundreds of thousands of artists and cultural organizations in cities and towns across Canada invite Canadians to participate in free, interactive, and “behind the scenes” activities to discover their cultural spirit and passion.
EMV is pleased to partner with the Pacific Baroque Orchestra for “The Path to Performance”, the Baroque Orchestra Mentorship Project (BOMP) at UBC, and for two concerts on our Baroque Series at the Vancouver Playhouse.
